Today, I learned an important lesson in cooking.
Patience.
Seriously, after two days of my parents entrusting their lives in my hands as I attempted to make dinner, the most important thing I learned was to just waaaaaait.
Don't bother the food when it's cooking if it's not burning or boiling over.
It's fiiiine.
I really don't know if I'm going to be able to resist the urge to check the food's progress in the future. If I don't know what it's doing, how do I know it's okay? *wide eyes* What if I mess up? Auuuuugh!
Oh, cooking. Who knew that the hardest part would be leaving the food alone? *sigh*
